Job Description
House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Retail Freight Flow Lead to oversee all backroom and freight operations in our experiential, athlete-focused store. You will coordinate truck unloading, receiving, tagging, and stocking to ensure merchandise is accurately processed and quickly available on the sales floor. Partnering with store and events teams, you'll align product flow with key experiences, promotions, and community events. You will train and coach associates, uphold safety and loss prevention standards, optimize storage space, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient freight environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily freight flow, including truck unloading, receiving, tagging, and stocking Ensure accurate inventory processing and timely movement of product to the sales floor Coordinate freight priorities with store leadership to support events, promotions, and seasonal transitions Train, coach, and direct freight and backroom associates during shifts Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient stockroom and receiving area Enforce safety, loss prevention, and compliance standards during all freight activities Optimize storage, zoning, and product placement for quick access and replenishment Conduct routine inventory checks, audits, and adjustments as needed Collaborate with merchandising teams to support visual standards with available freight Use inventory systems and RF equipment to track, process, and report on freight status Required Skills Freight flow management Retail inventory control RF scanners and stock systems Backroom organization Team leadership Shift planning and task delegation Safety and compliance procedures Visual merchandising of freight Cycle counting and stock audits Basic data entry and reporting
