Job Description:
OIP Team Lead The Opportunity Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Team Lead to lead a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery each shift while assigning work, solving problems, and supporting daily operations. You will build team capability by coaching team members and developing multi-skilled operators. You will lead continuous improvement using Lean principles and serve as a hands-on leader on the floor. You will work closely with operations, quality, and EHS partners while gaining experience in people leadership and operational excellence. You will succeed by staying organized, communicating clearly, and resolving issues quickly. How you'll make an impact Lead daily production to meet safety, quality, and output targets Assign work based on production plans and training needs Monitor performance and resolve production issues quickly Reinforce safe work practices and proper PPE use Ensure adherence to standard work and procedures Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions Communicate shift updates and escalate key issues Update performance tracking boards and reports Lead 5S and continuous improvement activities Train and develop team members for multi-skill capability Your background High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in manufacturing or machining preferred Knowledge of Lean principles and problem-solving tools Ability to read blueprints and use quality equipment Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to troubleshoot equipment and support maintenance Ability to read, write, and perform basic math Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities Equal Employment Opportunity Hitachi is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
