Overview Join Stella Sourdough as a Stella Store associate and become the friendly face that welcomes customers, assists with product selections, and creates an engaging shopping experience. You will be the key to ensuring smooth store operations, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales through knowledgeable product recommendations. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions about merchandise Operate our Square POS (Point of Sale) system for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling Offer product samples to encourage customer engagement and upselling opportunities Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented Handle customer inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information or directing calls appropriately Work with outside vendors to ensure product freshness and adequate stock. Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with inventory replenishment Assist in supervising new team members or trainees when needed, sharing best practices for customer service and store procedures Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in bilingual environments (Spanish, ASL, etc.) if applicable Familiarity with the Square POS system is preferred. Knowledge of retail store product lines to confidently answer questions and recommend items Excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally over the phone Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is a plus but not required Demonstrate ability to handle cash drawer and perform cash handling tasks reliably Days/Hours Sunday 9:00-1:00 Monday-Thursday 9:00-6:00 (30-minute lunch).
