] Z Dry Cleaners is a premium garment-care business serving Flower Mound, TX and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Store Associate to run the front of our Lakeside location on a part-time schedule. You will be the face of the store — opening and closing each day, welcoming every customer, carefully taking in and preparing garments for cleaning, and returning finished orders to customers with care and accuracy. This role is a great fit for a serious, dependable person who takes pride in organization, cleanliness, and excellent customer service. You will work independently and be trusted with the keys to the store, cash handling, and our customers' valued garments.
COMPENSATION
$13.00 per hour.
SCHEDULE
Part-time:
3 days per week, 20-27 hours per week total. Store hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Reliability and punctuality are essential, as you may be the sole associate opening and closing the store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Opening & Closing the Store Open the store on time, prepare the front counter, and set up for the day Close out the register, tidy the counter and shelves, turn off equipment, lock up, and set the alarm at end of day Customer Service Warmly welcome every customer, answer questions about services, turnaround times, and pricing, and provide a friendly, professional experience Handle customer inquiries by phone and text in a courteous, timely manner Garment Intake & Preparation Receive garments from customers and inspect each item, noting fabric type, stains, damage, and any special-care instructions Tag, label, and log every order accurately with all details — customer name, item count, service requested, and special notes — so nothing is lost or mixed up Prepare and organize items so they are ready to be sent to the cleaning factory, and coordinate the outgoing batches Receiving & Order Fulfillment Receive cleaned garments back from the factory, verify each order against the ticket, and confirm quality and completeness Sort and place finished orders neatly on the pickup shelves in an organized, easy-to-find system Locate and hand orders to customers at pickup, process payment accurately, and ensure each customer leaves satisfied Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable throughout the shift
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A
serious, dependable, and trustworthy person with a strong sense of responsibility Excellent attention to detail — accurate tagging, logging, and order handling are critical Friendly, professional customer-service manner and good communication skills Organized and able to work independently without close supervision Comfortable with basic point-of-sale/register and cash handling Punctual and consistent — able to reliably open and close the store on scheduled days Legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED
(NICE TO HAVE) Previous experience in dry cleaning, retail, hospitality, or customer service Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand for extended periods and to lift, carry, and hang garments and bagged orders (up to approximately 25 lbs) Comfortable with repetitive tasks such as tagging, sorting, and shelving
