Orthotic Sales AssociateAbout the JobThe client is a global retailer in the health and wellness industry specializing in custom orthotics and complementary footwear. The organization focuses on personalized solutions designed to improve comfort, mobility, and overall well-being.
Role DescriptionThe Orthotic Sales Associate is a full-time and part-time, on-site position based in Flower Mound, TX. This position focuses on welcoming customers, understanding their foot health and comfort needs, and recommending appropriate custom orthotics and footwear solutions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting basic foot assessments, explaining product features and benefits, fitting customers for orthotics and shoes, and ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the visit.
The associate is also responsible for maintaining product displays, processing sales transactions, handling returns or exchanges, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role involves learning product lines, following sales processes, and collaborating with team members to achieve store performance goals.
QualificationsStrong customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and build trust with a diverse customer base.
Sales and retail skills, including consultative selling, product demonstrations, upselling complementary products, and accurate cash handling or POS operation.
Basic health and wellness awareness, with the ability to learn about foot anatomy, common comfort issues, and how orthotics and footwear can address customer needs.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain an orderly store environment and manage multiple customers.
Ability to stand for extended periods, assist customers with shoe fittings, and handle light to moderate lifting of inventory.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in retail, medical device sales, or health and wellness settings is a plus.
Willingness to learn, adapt to training, and use basic computer systems for scheduling, inventory, and customer records.
