Music and Arts is seeking a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support students, parents, and educators in our busy retail store. In this role, you'll lead sales of band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, providing expert guidance and outstanding service. You will open and close the store, process sales and rentals, maintain merchandising and inventory accuracy, and train or support junior associates. You'll collaborate with school service reps, promote educational programs, and help meet store revenue goals in a mission-driven, student-focused environment. Responsibilities Drive sales of instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons to meet store goals Provide expert, student-focused service to students, parents, and educators Process transactions, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments using POS systems Open and close the store, including cash handling and daily reconciliation Maintain merchandising standards and accurate inventory on the sales floor Support and mentor junior sales associates as a senior team member Collaborate with school service representatives to support local music programs Promote lesson programs, events, and educational offerings to customers Resolve customer issues and ensure a positive store experience Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards in the store Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale systems Product knowledge - musical instruments Inventory management Cash handling and reconciliation Sales reporting Merchandising Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication skills
