Full Job Description Overview:

Please read this posting in its entirety prior to applying. We are looking for an outgoing and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are a small, locally owned, and operated pet supply store. We very much appreciate our community and strive to be our neighbor's favorite pet supply store. It is because of this focus that we were voted Sandy's Best New Business in 2025! Store hours are Monday - Saturday 9am-9pm, Sunday 10am-6pm. Candidates must be willing to work Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, roughly 26 hours a week.

Disciplined Responsibilities:

Greet and engage with neighbors (don't forget about the pets!) to understand their goals, problems, and or needs Educating neighbors and helping them find the best products for their pets Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately Assist with running adoption events at the store Maintain an organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, updating pricing and planograms Maintaining a clean environment by sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning up after a pup's nature call Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise Assist with caring for the animals that we have in the store

Skills:

Strength, balance, and stamina. This position is physically demanding at times, requiring multiple times a day for your to safely climb a ladder with an up to 50-pound bag of dog food Initiate conversation and engage with people face to face Exceptional listening and execution skills Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic arithmetic
