Overview The Assistant Golf Professional at The Club at Glenmore is an integral member of the golf professional team, supporting the Head Professional, Golf Shop Manager, Assistant Golf Professionals, and Director of Instruction in delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests. While supporting the day-to-day golf operation, this position places a strong emphasis on golf instruction, player development, junior golf, member engagement, and growing the game of golf. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic golf professional who enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and abilities, building relationships with members, introducing new players to the game, and creating programs that make golf more accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding. Experience Required Qualifications & Desired Attributes PGA Professional or PGA Associate preferred. Strong passion for golf instruction and player development. Previous experience teaching golf to adults and/or juniors preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with golfers ranging from beginners to advanced players. Enthusiastic, approachable, and service-oriented personality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a professional golf team. Proficiency or willingness to learn golf-industry software, including point-of-sale, tournament, and handicap systems. Commitment to creating a welcoming environment that grows participation in golf and develops the next generation of golfers. Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and completion of Level 1-3 of the PGA of America PGM Program/PGA Member. At least 2 years of experience required at a golf facility Essential Responsibilities Golf Instruction & Growing the Game Assist the Director of Instruction with the Rotella/Fedder Academy, including clinics, group lessons, individual instruction, and player-development programs. Provide high-quality individual and group instruction to golfers of varying ages, skill levels, and abilities. Participate in and help develop instructional programs designed to introduce new golfers to the game and retain existing players. Assist with junior golf programming, including After-School Clinics, Summer Camps, Junior League, and other junior-development initiatives. Help create a welcoming and positive learning environment that encourages juniors and adults to develop a lifelong interest in golf. Support introductory programs, beginner clinics, playing lessons, and other initiatives designed to grow participation in the game. Build strong relationships with members through consistent engagement, communication, and follow-up. Encourage golfers to participate in lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and other club activities. Promote an inclusive, welcoming golf environment for golfers of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. Stay current with modern teaching methods, player-development strategies, technology, and trends in golf instruction. Golf Operations Assist the Head Professional, Golf Shop Manager, and Assistant Golf Professionals with the daily operation of the golf facility. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Closely manage the tee sheet to maximize tee-time utilization and yield while providing excellent member service. Supervise the start of play and ensure appropriate collection of all applicable fees. Assist with Pace of Play initiatives, marshalling, and starting responsibilities when necessary. Facilitate members' daily needs and respond professionally and promptly to questions regarding golf operations. Operate Northstar point-of-sale, Golf Genius tournament software, and handicap-system software. Assist in maintaining and administering

handicaps and provide members with support using online handicap services. Assist with inventory control and management, golf shop cleanliness, merchandising, and front-of-shop presentation. Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of seasonal golf staff. Tournaments, Associations & Member Activities Assist with conducting golf tournaments, outings, leagues, and other member golf activities. Work with member tournament committees to plan and execute events when appropriate. Assist in leading the GWGA (Women's Golf Association) or Silver Eagles (Senior Men's Association). Develop and support association activities that encourage participation, camaraderie, and continued involvement in golf. Help create enjoyable competitive and social opportunities that appeal to golfers of different skill levels. Golf Course, Cart & Facility Support Assist with the oversight of golf cart maintenance and driving-range equipment. Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of Cart Barn equipment and facilities. Ensure carts, range equipment, and related golf-operation areas are properly maintained and presented. Communicate equipment or facility issues to the appropriate management personnel and assist with resolving them promptly.
