Back of House Team Members Saints - 4.6 Short Pump, VA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Grilling Sautéing ServSafe Kitchen stations Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Job Summary Saints, a new modern American restaurant opening in Short Pump, Virginia in November 2026, is building its opening Back of House team. We are hiring Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers to support a menu of premium steaks, fresh lobster, crab cakes, and craft sandwiches, served across three distinct dining rooms with nearly 300 seats. Every member of our kitchen team plays a direct role in getting each plate out fast, hot, and up to Saints' standards of taste, presentation, and safety. Saints is a professional kitchen with high standards, and we are looking for dependable, driven people who are ready to work every shift. These are paid positions with full-time and part-time schedules available.
Positions Available Line Cook:
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items during high-volume service. Our Chef will place you on a station based on your skills and experience.
Prep Cook:
Prepare ingredients, proteins, sauces, and stations so the line is fully stocked and ready for service.
Dishwasher:
Keep dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment clean and ready, and keep the dish area organized and sanitary.
Pay:
$15.00 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Hours vary by position and will be discussed during the interview. Full-time and part-time schedules available, including evenings, weekends, and prep shifts. Responsibilities All Back of House Team Members Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and respond to the Chef's direction to ensure timely service. Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen tools clean, organized, and stocked. Assist with opening and closing duties, receiving, and storage as needed. Line Cooks Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Saints' recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, flat-tops, and other appliances. Execute your station with speed and accuracy during high-volume service, keeping food fast and hot. Prep Cooks Complete prep work, including slicing, dicing, portioning, and stocking, before and between services. Follow recipes and portion specifications to ensure consistency across all stations. Label, date, and store products properly and keep walk-ins organized. Dishwashers Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils promptly during service. Keep the dish area, floors, and trash areas clean and sanitary. Support the kitchen team by restocking clean items and helping where needed during service.
Experience Line Cooks:
At least 1 year of line cook experience in a full-service or high-volume kitchen is required. Experience with steaks, seafood, grill, or sauté is preferred.
Prep Cooks:
Previous kitchen or prep experience is preferred. Skilled knife handling and recipe adherence are a plus.
Dishwashers:
No experience required. We will train the right candidates. Current ServSafe certification or Virginia food handler card is a plus for all positions. We will train and certify the right candidates. Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Reliable, punctual, and focused, with the ability to stay on task and meet the standard every night. Strong communication skills and a willingness to take direction and work as part of a team. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly through the kitchen, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
