Job Description
Lead Sales Associate - [Burlington] (Year-Round, Holiday Availability Required) Golden Hour Gift Co. is a feel-good gift shop to brighten your day — full of art, plants, jewelry, cards, kiddo items, and more. We're looking for an experienced retail professional to take on a Lead Sales Associate role at our Burlington store. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work the floor alongside the team, help keep daily operations running smoothly, and make sure every customer leaves smiling. You must be available Black Friday through Christmas Eve , plan to be in Vermont year-round, and have weekend availability. This is a very active role — you'll be on your feet most of the day, lifting and unpacking products, setting up displays, and interacting with customers. On nice days, we set up our outdoor plant and clothing tent , and you'll help with setup and takedown. When the shop is quieter, you'll shift to computer-based tasks like processing inventory, checking emails, or updating product listings. A positive, "pitch-in" attitude is key, and there's plenty of room to grow here for someone who's engaged and committed. What you'll do: Open and/or close the shop and keep things running smoothly during your shift Lead by example on the sales floor — greeting customers, offering help, and delivering great service Support and guide team members during shifts, offering coaching when needed Keep displays stocked, organized, and visually appealing Operate the register and handle cash/card transactions accurately Assist with receiving, pricing, and merchandising new products Maintain a clean, inviting, and well-organized shop You're a good fit if you: Have previous retail leadership or keyholder experience Are friendly, dependable, and confident in managing a shift Enjoy an active, hands-on role with a variety of tasks Take pride in excellent customer service and attention to detail
