This unique position combines hands-on pet care with front office responsibilities. New team members begin by learning kennel operations, safety procedures, pet handling, and our daily care protocols. Once trained, you'll split your time between caring for pets and supporting front desk operations. While a love of animals is important, success in this role depends on attention to detail, reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Every pet in our care has unique feeding, medication, and behavioral needs, so consistency and good judgment are essential. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, learns quickly, works efficiently, and can be trusted to provide excellent care for both pets and clients. What You'll Do Provide compassionate care for boarding and daycare dogs and cats Follow detailed feeding, medication, and care instructions accurately Clean and sanitize kennels and play areas to maintain a safe environment Walk dogs, monitor group play, and report any health or behavioral concerns Observe pets closely and communicate important information to team members Greet clients, answer phones, schedule reservations, and process payments Assist with pet check-ins and check-outs Learn and utilize company software and operational systems Support both kennel and front desk operations as needed What We're Looking For Must LOVE animals and be comfortable working hands-on with dogs and cats Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality A quick learner who can adapt to new procedures, responsibilities, and computer systems Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Good judgment, common sense, and problem-solving skills Comfortable asking questions when clarification is needed rather than making assumptions Able to work efficiently and stay productive in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and basic professional writing skills Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Previous pet care, veterinary, kennel, daycare, boarding, or customer service experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person Position Details Full-Time Only Weekends and some holidays required Scheduled shifts fall between 6:45 AM and 7:30 PM Hours vary based on business needs Opportunities for training and advancement available for motivated team members
