This position is located at a The UPS Store retail location and is not associated with UPS Corporation as a driver, warehouse, or hub employee. You will work directly with customers and assist with shipping, packaging, returns, retail transactions, and basic printing and office services. This is a hands-on retail position where no two days are exactly the same. We are looking for someone with retail experience who is comfortable working with customers, computers, POS systems, and learning new software and store procedures. Tentative Schedule

T Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions Answer questions about shipping, returns, and other store services Communicate clearly and professionally with customers Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain a professional and welcoming retail environment Shipping & Packaging Process domestic and international shipments Weigh, measure, label, and properly document packages Pack customer items safely and securely Handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs Learn and follow shipping procedures and requirements Returns & Retail Services Process Amazon, Happy Returns, and other online returns Assist customers with copying, printing, scanning, faxing, laminating, and other basic document services Assist with notary and passport photo services after training Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and services Maintain product displays and keep the sales floor organized Store Operations Follow opening and closing procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store Stock supplies and monitor inventory Keep work areas clean and organized Help maintain an efficient workflow during busy periods Take initiative and work independently once trained Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous retail experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience operating POS systems, handling customer transactions, and working in a fast-paced retail environment are encouraged to apply.

Preferred experience includes:

Retail sales or customer service The UPS Store or similar shipping businesses FedEx Office, Staples, Office Depot, or similar businesses Other customer-facing retail environments Additional qualifications: Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math for accurate transactions Strong computer and basic internet skills Comfortable learning new software and technology Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English Spanish language skills are a plus Strong attention to detail Reliable and punctual Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers Able to work independently and take initiative Able to lift and move packages up to 70 lbs Willing to learn all aspects of the business Previous experience at The UPS Store or a similar retail/shipping business may qualify for a higher starting wage. Compensation & Growth Starting pay: $17.25/hour , increase to $18.00/hour after successful completion of the probationary period and satisfactory performance. Performance-based pay reviews and potential increases every 6 months thereafter.
