Job Description

Join One of Southwest Washington's Premier Firearms Counters. Chehalis Outfitters is a locally owned outdoor retailer serving hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts across Southwest Washington. Our firearms department is built around product knowledge, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service . We are seeking an experienced firearms sales associate / gun counter specialist with prior firearms retail or FFL experience. Applicants with experience processing firearm transactions and working behind a licensed firearms counter are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with firearm, ammunition, and optics purchases Provide recommendations on rifles, shotguns, handguns, and accessories Process firearm sales in compliance with ATF and Washington State regulations Complete and review ATF Form 4473 transactions (electronic and paper) Utilize FastBound or similar electronic bound book systems Maintain accurate electronic firearm records and digital storage compliance Receive firearms and log them into the electronic bound book Assist with Class
III / NFA
items including suppressor transfers Maintain secure firearm displays and storage areas Ensure safe firearm handling procedures are followed at all times
Required Experience:
Working behind a gun counter at a licensed FFL dealer Experience completing ATF Form 4473 firearm transactions Familiarity with electronic 4473 systems Familiarity with FastBound or electronic bound book systems
Preferred Experience:
NFA / Class III firearms and suppressor transfers Competitive pay based on experience Knowledge of Washington State firearm laws and waiting periods Experience with major brands such as
Glock, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, SIG Sauer, Mossberg, and Springfield Armory Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Standing for extended periods Safe handling of firearms according to company procedures Why Work at

Pay:
$17.54 - $19.00 per hour
