Makers' Mercantile is looking for a warm, knowledgeable, and dependable Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. This is an in-person retail position, and weekend availability is required. The Role You'll help create a welcoming, inspiring experience for our customers while supporting the day-to-day operations of the shop.
Responsibilities include:
Helping customers select yarn, patterns, tools, and project materials Providing knowledgeable support with knitting and crochet Processing in-store, phone, and online orders Packing and shipping online orders Receiving and organizing inventory Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting shop What We're Looking For Retail experience and familiarity with POS systems and inventory Proficiency in both knitting and crochet Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay positive in a busy retail environment Comfort using Ravelry, Google, email, and other basic technology Ability to stand throughout a shift, climb stairs/ladders, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship Extra Credit Experience with other fiber arts, teaching knitting or crochet, speaking a second language, or a strong eye for color and design are all welcome.
