Job Description

Winton MFG Compost Works is looking to add a Junior Sales Associate to our service sales team. This position is responsible for developing new business and maintaining current customers in specified sales territories, under the direction of the Sales Manager. This person will complete weekly sales reports and meet monthly sales goals as outlined by the Manager. While providing excellent Customer service, they will be the main point of contact for customers, visit clients to ensure quality service and introduce new/changing compostable packaging items, participate in community outreach activities and complete related administrative tasks as assigned. Our ideal candidate has direct experience in the restaurant and food service industry, is bilingual (Spanish/English strongly preferred), and is ready to grow in the Junior Sales Associate role with us.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Expand the customer base through direct personal contact with potential customers. Develop new service customers by starting a relationship with potential businesses and employees, which may include the manager, kitchen staff and other employees. Explore customer needs and how the company may serve them in different ways. Visit current customers to ensure quality service, educate on contamination and introduce new compostable packaging products. Utilize professional phone etiquette and strong customer services skills to maintain customer relationships. Become a resource to customers as a compostable packaging and service consultant in order to implement green solutions. Place service and packaging orders with specific protocols to ensure accuracy and timely submissions. Develop, plan, and successfully execute strategies to grow the specified sales territory. Effectively communicate and coordinate daily work flow with Sales Manager. Other related tasks as needed by manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to organize, analyze, interpret and evaluate problems and provide practical, cost-effective solutions; ability to juggle multiple priorities; ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and the general public, both verbally and in writing. Ability to plan and organize your work and activities according to priorities, established schedules and deadlines. Ability to apply common sense and good judgment to everyday situations; ability to see all sides of an issue and use good judgment and common sense to effect win/win solutions. Computer skills; MS word, excel and outlook. Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal). Presentation skills (speaking to small and large groups). Negotiation skills.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE/OTHER
Minimum one year of sales/account manager experience. Must have a valid and current State of Washington driver's license. Experience with Salesforce a plus. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus. Physical Demands To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for seven or more hours per day, and frequently lift and carry objects up to 15 pounds at a time.
