Job Description
Position Summary The Crew Member / Field Operator is one of two active crew members executing daily residential landscaping jobs across assigned routes in Pierce and South King County. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate commercial landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. The field operator logs all job completions into SuiteCRM, communicates with clients professionally on-site, and maintains all equipment to manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities Arrive at the shared shop by 6:00 AM on scheduled days; assist in loading trailer with all required equipment Verify equipment readiness: fuel levels, blade sharpness, trimmer line, PPE availability Execute 3-5 residential service calls per day per assigned route Perform standard service sequence at each property: mow → edge → trim → blow (in that order) Log job completion in SuiteCRM immediately after each visit: time in, time out, service notes, property photos Communicate with clients courteously and professionally when present on-site Report property hazards, damage, or access issues to the owner immediately Assist with mid-day fuel stops; log fuel purchase in expense tracking system Return equipment to shop at end of day; clean mower deck, trimmer heads, blower filters; refuel for next day Report any mechanical issues with equipment to owner same day Required Qualifications Must be 18 or older Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record Ability to operate push mowers, riding mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods Basic smartphone proficiency (for SuiteCRM mobile logging) Reliable transportation to and from the shop location Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of professional landscaping or groundskeeping experience Experience operating commercial-grade zero-turn or walk-behind mowers Knowledge of lawn care best practices (mowing heights, edging technique, debris disposal) Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Performance-based bonuses tied to client retention and calendar fill rate Paid on-the-job equipment training Consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend requirements at launch Opportunity to grow with the company as routes expand
