Retail Sales Associate DC Interiors & Renovations Fitchburg, WI Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Merchandising Organizational skills Retail math Full Job Description Job Overview Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active communication and attentive listening Assist shoppers with product selection, including plants, gardening supplies, lawn care equipment, and floral arrangements Provide expert plant identification and horticulture advice to help customers make informed decisions Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an appealing shopping environment Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts Offer exceptional customer service by answering questions via phone or in person about outdoor work, landscape maintenance, or product features Qualifications Prior experience or strong interest in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred Knowledge of plant identification and floral design enhances customer assistance skills Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math ensures efficient transactions Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Outdoor work experience and familiarity with outdoor tools or equipment are advantageous Strong organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness Ability to handle cash accurately and perform retail sales confidently while providing outstanding customer service Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to helping customers cultivate beautiful outdoor spaces!
