Job Summary | Every guest receives a heartfelt welcome at The Whisker Society. Serving as our Cat Lounge Greeter, you act as the primary point of contact for all visitors to greet them, check them in, obtain signed waivers and answer questions. We are seeking two candidates who possess a true affinity for humans and cats alike, excels in vibrant social settings, and is dedicated to ensuring each guest enjoys a familiar and welcoming visit. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, hands-on, and interested in growing in animal welfare, rescue coordination, or community operations. What you'll do | Greet walk-ins and reservation holders at the door, confirm bookings, and guide guests through the shoe sanitizing process and cat lounge policies and interaction guidelines Check in reservations, obtain signatures for waivers, add bookings as space allows for walk-in guests, communicate with a smile and share The Whisker Society mission with our community. Inform guests about our adoptable cats, adoption processes, donation inquiries and more. Maintain and keep the entrance and waiting area tidy, stocked and welcoming at all times, bringing back donations when necessary What we're looking for | Friendly individuals who are 18 years and older are encouraged to apply Genuine love of cats and community Experience in customer service or hospitality Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new software platforms Strong verbal communication skills Calm, patient demeanor in a busy setting Weekend availability About The Whisker Society Cat Lounge | We are a mission-driven 501(c)3 cat lounge dedicated to creating a calm, joyful space where people can relax, connect, and meet adoptable cats. Our goal is to help cats find loving homes while providing a welcoming environment for visitors and volunteers alike. The Whisker Society follows Force-Free and Fear-Free handling practices, and all staff, volunteers, and guests are expected to uphold and use these methods at all times. The Cat Lounge has an attached cafe that operates as its own entity, all doing business as The Whisker Society.
