- $22 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications Driver's License Mechanical quality control procedures Manufacturing Full Job Description Overview In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for prioritizing workflow, operating metal fabrication machinery, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Duties Workflow & Time Management:
Prioritize, schedule, and assign daily shop tasks to maintain an efficient flow of workload and meet fulfillment deadlines.Machinery & Equipment Operation:
Safely operate shop machinery to cut threaded rod, drill components, and process fasteners to customer specifications.Tack Welding & Assembly:
Perform light tack welding—primarily on anchor bolt assemblies—and basic shop fabrication as required.Quality & Accuracy Control:
Inspect finished work, verify measurements, and ensure all custom shop orders meet accurate tolerances and customer specifications.Shop Maintenance & Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment; report machinery maintenance needs and enforce shop safety protocols.Inventory & Material Handling:
Coordinate with warehouse leadership to track incoming raw materials (rod, stock, fasteners) and staging for job orderQualifications Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Forklift Skills:
Forklift operating experience is preferred.Experience:
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, shop, or manufacturing environment; prior experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.Welding Skills:
Basic welding capability, specifically experience with tack welding (e.g., anchor bolt assemblies). High-level structural welding certification is not required.Machinery & Tool Operation:
Demonstrated proficiency with shop machinery, including metal-cutting saws (for cutting rod), drill presses, and basic power tools.Time Management & Leadership:
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage work flow independently, and keep shop projects on schedule.Mechanical Aptitude:
Comfortable reading shop orders, taking precise measurements, and verifying specs/tolerances for fastener fabrications.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform routine manual shop tasks safely.Pay:
