Job Description

Retail Sales Specialist (Part-time) The part-time Retail Sales Specialist will work under the direction of the Bemis Bath Shoppe manager. This role will include all phases of day-today activity associated with the Bemis Bath Shoppe & Boutique. Provide friendly, courteous customer service using cross-selling techniques to guide, direct and influence the purchasing decision. In store & via phone.

Product consultation and demonstration. Function as a consultant in terms of product function and design. Staying up to date with product knowledge as product offerings change.

Cash register sales, order fulfillment, phone sales, process customer orders/returns and all related transactions.

Assist with store operations including daily opening and closing, cash reconciliation, display changes, product receiving/stock counts, general housekeeping, point of sale problem solving, and preparation of reporting.

Assist with merchandising of displays to maintain a sophisticated product presentation.

Inventory control/ replenishment. Maintain proper stock levels.

Miscellaneous projects as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Post high school education preferred.

Ability to become a product knowledge expert, including understanding the differences in materials, components, functionality, and the application best suited for the customer.

Ability to interact and provide excellent customer service both in-person and on the phone.

Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times.

Experience with design and/or a creative background a strong plus.

Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask.

Ability to be self-motivated and directed, working with minimum supervision necessary.

Ability to work flexible hours (16 to 22 hours per week/average) including some Saturdays.
