Department of War Sales Associate Laramie, Wyoming Full-Time, In-Person Reports to: Business Development Lead Position Overview Tungsten Parts Wyoming (TPW) is a Laramie-based manufacturer of tungsten heavy alloy components for defense, aerospace, and specialty industrial applications. We are seeking a Department of War Sales Associate to support TPW's defense sales pipeline. This role reports directly to the Business Development Lead and supports both the Sales and Business Development teams: managing customer records in the customer relationship management (CRM) system, preparing quotes, tracking opportunities, and helping move Department of War and defense-industry customers from inquiry through order. Sales experience is a must. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities- Support the Sales and Business Development teams across the full sales cycle, from inbound inquiry through quote, order, and follow-up.
- Prepare, track, and follow up on quotes for Department of War, prime contractor, and defense-industry customers.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, and opportunity records in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Track opportunity status and pipeline activity, and keep the Business Development Lead informed of progress and risks.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support accurate quoting and delivery commitments.
- Respond to customer requests for information, documentation, and order status.
- Support proposal, solicitation, and request-for-quote responses as directed.
- Represent TPW professionally in all customer communications. Minimum Qualifications
- Sales experience required.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and quoting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple opportunities at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR (see Export Control Requirement below). Preferred Qualifications
- Military service or defense-industry background.
- Experience selling into the Department of War, prime contractors, or government customers.
- Familiarity with government contracting basics, including requests for quote and solicitation responses.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical product sales.
