Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

The Liquor Well Inc. is a locally owned Liquor & General Store. We are looking for a new Assistant Manager to assist the Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in motivating and inspiring our team to achieve store productivity goals. The Assistant Store Manager will also work closely with the Store Manager to develop new strategies to help drive sales.Job Duties:
Provide strong leadership presence while assisting the Store manager with managing store responsibilities. Ensure all customers receive outstanding service by creating a friendly environment through greeting customers and quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs. Generate high morale through positive relationships. Demonstrate a positive, extroverted personality toward team members and customers. Demonstrate desired behaviors for staff by handling difficult sales, proper cash management, and completing required follow-up with customers. Motivate and coach new and existing staff to perform their best. Support individual staff strengths and create developmental plans to prepare all position levels for future growth within the organization. Assist the Store Manager in providing ongoing training opportunities for the team, as needed. Work with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and drive sales. Provide input to the Store Manager regarding sales training programs and techniques, as well as business strengths, trends, and opportunities. Ensure all displays, pricing, and signage are correct at all times. Assist in receiving all vendor deliveries in accordance with company policy while being diligent in checking in all received products and inputting received products into the POS system. Monitor and maintain store inventory. Complete closing paperwork, including closing out the till and running register reports. Enforce all company policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and security of employees and customers. Assist the Store manager with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees. Act as the Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager. Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age to sell Alcohol & Tobacco, according to the State of Alaska Alcohol & Tobacco Laws Must have, or be willing to acquire, a TAPS card Management experience Ability to build constructive and effective relationships Excellent customer service skills Strong interpersonal skills Possess a positive and enthusiastic personality Strong leadership skills, including the ability to present ideas and directions that lead others to action Demonstrated ability to set objectives and goals, as well as prioritize Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions Demonstrated strong listening, written, and oral communication skills Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to set goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals Ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in driving successful management strategies Must be able to meet the physical demands as noted at the bottom of this job descriptionExpected Hours:
40 hours per weekBenefits:

4-10 hour shifts Shift schedule will vary during training to learn all shifts Final Schedule will be Sat- Mon. from 6:30am
- 5:30pm and Tues. 8:00am
- 6:00pm Must be willing and able to cover call-outs and/or no-shows, as needed
