In person About the Position Paris Baguette is looking for an energetic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our leadership team for our new café in the west Phoenix area. The Assistant Store Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to support daily café operations, develop team members, maintain excellent customer service and product quality, and ensure the café operates efficiently and according to company standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment and is looking to grow into a higher-level management position as our company continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Support the Store Manager with overall daily café operations Lead, coach, train, and motivate team members Help recruit, onboard, and train new employees Delegate daily responsibilities and follow up on completion Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns Maintain Paris Baguette standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and presentation Assist with employee scheduling and labor management Manage POS, cash handling, refunds, and daily transactions accurately Assist with product ordering, inventory counts, deliveries, and inventory control Support new product launches, promotions, and seasonal programs Monitor product quality, freshness, rotation, and availability Help maintain food safety, sanitation, and health inspection standards Monitor and properly report store incidents Assist with catering and special orders Perform opening and/or closing manager responsibilities Act as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable Help build a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Qualifications 1+ years of restaurant, café, bakery, retail food, or food-service experience preferred Previous shift lead, supervisor, assistant manager, or management experience strongly preferred High school diploma/GED required; some college preferred Strong leadership and team-building skills Excellent customer-service and communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Experience with POS systems; Toast experience is a plus Understanding of cash handling and transaction accuracy Basic knowledge of inventory management and food safety Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to team members Reliable, responsible, positive, and hands-on leadership style Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
