: We're looking for full-time (30 to 40 hours/week) key-holders with retail experience and a desire to develop a long-term career. You're a smart, high-energy, positive-minded pet lover. Maybe your skills have gone unnoticed at Petco or PFE, and you think you'd be a better fit at a smaller store more intensely focused on helping pets and their owners. Or maybe you're currently under-appreciated in a larger corporate retail environment and would like to have more of an impact on your store. We'll train you about the pet world and our role in it. You are applying to our Tiburon store. Interviews and Basic Training take place in our Novato store. After training, most of your shifts will be in your Home Store, but you will get to work in all 3 locations (Tiburon, Greenbrae, and Novato). Required :

(do not respond if you can't answer yes to all) Do you have a contagious enthusiasm for pets & people? Have you previous held a supervisory position at another company? Are you willing & able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends? Are you willing & able to start work before 9AM and/or end after 800PM? Can you regularly lift & carry 50 lbs without concern? Do you love to learn about animals and pet care? We have stores in Tiburon, Greenbrae, and Novato. Do you have the means to get to each of these locations?

Extra Credit :

Retail or business experience related to pets Familiarity with holistic & healthy pet foods Strong interest in the diet of pets, and all aspects of pet care Volunteered and/or supported non-profit animal rescue organizations

Basic Duties :

(for everyone) Greet customers & pets: Be the reason they don't want to shop online! Provide thoughtful customer service & advice Opening / Closing tasks Retail Cashier Clean the pet wash Stock shelves after deliveries Carry customer purchases out to the car Keep the store neat, clean, and orderly Feed and clean up after the store cats Key-Holder /

Manager Duties :

All of the above, plus: Open and Close the stores, as scheduled Execute opening and closing procedures Provide clear, helpful direction to other team members Handle sticky customer situations Make daily bank deposits Accurately check-in load on delivery days and make sure it is stocked properly on the floor Seek out pet-related information for you and your team
