Position Overview The Operations Manager serves as the primary leader of the store, responsible for overseeing all operations, team performance, and overall store success. This role combines operational ownership with sales support,ensuring the store runs efficiently while actively contributing to revenue through team support and client engagement. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with direct responsibility for executing key operational functions including inventory management, shipping/receiving, fulfillment, and systems management. This individual will work closely with the Head of Merchandise and the COO to ensure alignment across inventory, operations, and overall business performance. Core ResponsibilitiesStore Leadership & Team Management Serve as the on-site leader of the store, owning daily operations and team performance. Train, coach, and support sales associates to improve performance and confidence. Lead by example on the floor, particularly during peak sales periods. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and team development. Sales Leadership & Client Support Actively support the sales team in driving revenue and closing sales, particularly for high-value or complex transactions. Step in on the floor to assist clients and ensure a seamless, elevated experience. Guide clients through product education, styling, and purchasing decisions. Ensure all client follow-ups, special orders, and opportunities are properly tracked and executed. Identify and remove operational blockers that may impact sales (inventory gaps, delays, fulfillment issues). Work with the leadership team to assist with client repair pickups and drop-offs, ensuring a smooth and professional client experience. Assist in executing both in-store and off-site events to drive client engagement and sales. Operations & Administrative Oversight Own all day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Manage scheduling based on traffic and sales needs. Ensure payroll is accurate and submitted on time. Maintain compliance with all operational policies and procedures. Resolve customer service issues with a solutions-oriented approach. Inventory Management Own inventory accuracy across all systems and physical stock. Execute and manage semi-annual inventory counts. Reconcile variances and ensure audit readiness at all times. Maintain strict control over high-value inventory and minimize shrink. Shipping, Receiving & Fulfillment (Hands-On Ownership) Personally execute all shipping and receiving processes for the store. Prepare and ship all client orders, transfers, and returns with accuracy and care. Receive, verify, and intake all incoming merchandise, ensuring proper allocation in systems. Track all shipments, deliveries, and transfers end-to-end. Manage courier scheduling and logistics. Order and maintain shipping supplies. Maintain detailed and accurate records for all shipping and inventory movement. POS & Systems Mastery Serve as the in-store expert and owner of the POS system, ensuring accuracy across all transactions, inventory, and client data. Oversee and execute all POS functions including sales transactions, returns, exchanges, special orders, and repairs. Ensure all data entered into the POS (sales, inventory, client information) is accurate and up to date at all times. Troubleshoot and resolve POS issues quickly to avoid disruption to sales or operations. Train and support the team on proper POS usage and best practices. Maintain clean, organized, and actionable client data within the system. Partner with leadership to identify improvements and efficiencies within POS and operational systems. Reporting & Business Performance Generate and submit weekly sales and operations reports. Track store performance against goals and identify trends or gaps. Provide actionable insights to improve both sales and operational efficiency. Store Execution & Systems Ensure the store consistently meets brand and visual standards. Support and execute in-store events from both an operational and client experience perspective. Oversee repairs, maintenance, and vendor coordination. Ensure proper use and optimization of ERP, CRM, POS, and all systems. Additional Duties Key holder responsibilities. Represent the company at events as needed. Maintain accurate documentation across inventory, shipping, and repairs. Requirements 3-5 years of experience in the jewelry industry required, with at least 2 years in an operations, inventory, or leadership-focused role. Strong experience with shipping, inventory, and fulfillment processes. Strong proficiency in POS systems, with the ability to own, manage, and troubleshoot all in-store transactions and data. Experience with ERP/CRM systems strongly preferred. Comfortable working both on the sales floor and behind the scenes operationally. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet as needed.Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
