  • Auto Electric Please call 209-838-2892 Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Perform regular preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot engine issues, hydraulic leaks, electrical faults, and drivetrain components. Maintain equipment records, maintenance logs, and parts inventories. Performs electrical diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair on trucks, trailers, and agricultural equipment. Performs welding and fabrication work as needed. Operates hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery after proper certification and training. Reports machinery, tool, or equipment defects or malfunctions to the Supervisor. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner following all safety protocols. Attends safety tailgates, training sessions, and other meetings as required. Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report all accidents or incidents to the Maintenance Manager or Safety Department. Assists co-workers as needed and performs other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced knowledge of heavy-duty diesel trucks, semi-trailers, diesel engines, and agricultural equipment and implements. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment for diesel engines and truck/trailer systems. Demonstrates a strong passion for mechanical work and problem-solving. Ability to weld all types of metals Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not a requirement
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a diesel and/or ag mechanics.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate with fellow employees and must be able to exchange accurate information. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for extended periods. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to visually inspect parts and machinery from a distance and up close. Must be able to work in various weather conditions when working on vehicles outdoors.
