In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality vehicle repairs, and foster a safety-first environment. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold industry standards, and deliver exceptional customer service. Duties Manage all aspects of the auto body shop operations, including workflow coordination, ordering parts, quality control, and customer satisfaction. Create detailed and accurate collision repair estimates, including labor, parts, paint/materials, supplements, etc. Supervise and motivate technicians and support staff to achieve productivity goals while maintaining high standards of workmanship. Oversee vehicle repair processes from damage assessment to final finishing, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices. Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to accurately assess repairs and communicate estimates to clients. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment. Conduct root cause analysis on defects or recurring issues in repairs to improve processes and reduce rework. Coordinate with insurance companies and clients to streamline repair approvals and communication. Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to heavy lifting, chemical handling (paints), auto restoration procedures, and shop regulations. Skills Proven dealership or collision repair shop management experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair workflows. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including auto body repair, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and collision damage restoration. Ability to perform basic math calculations for estimating repairs accurately. Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy lifting equipment and chemical handling such as paints and auto restoration materials. Experience working with aluminum parts and metal fabrication processes in an automotive context. Strong client communication skills to explain repairs clearly and manage customer expectations effectively. Technical proficiency in auto body refinishing techniques including detailing and paint application. Ability to lead a team efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality control in a collision repair environment.
