ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Patrol in and around the campus during school hours providing general supervision of students outside of class and remain alert to problems likely to disrupt the educational process or be physically injurious to persons or property.
- Intervene or report to appropriate authorities in situations likely to result in disruption or injury and direct students to refrain from such conduct.
- May direct students and take action, as necessary or instructed by the site administrator, to prevent injury to persons or damage to property.

The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities.
