Retail Shift Lead (Full-time) $21.00 hour + tips (tip pooling averages $5•12/hour) StateHouse Holdings Inc. 1965 Marina Bl, San Leandro, CA 94577 $21 an hour•Full-time $21 an hour•
Full-time SUMMARY:
The Retail Shift Lead plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the retail location during their assigned shift. The shift lead is the point of contact for Budtender and customer questions. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, inventory management, and promoting a positive work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(the list is not all inclusive) Provides excellent customer experience. Accurately log customer in computer systems. Accurate records customer transactions in POS system. Ensure all technology platforms are updated with our the most current information (specials, events, marketing materials). Handles all returns, exchanges and employee purchases. Ensures inventory controller is notified of all returns so this may be communicated to the vendor and product replaced or credit given. Ensures all opening and closing duties are completed and the venue is completely secured before departing at night or opening in the morning. Ensures that all phases of the customer experience remain seamless and exceed their expectations. Appropriately authorizes discounts and other changes on sales receipts. Ensures all display cases have uniform offerings and accurate labeling. Executes marketing efforts as directed by the Retail Leadership team. Ensures proper ambiance and cleanliness within venue at all times. Keeps up to date on locations daily/weekly sales, promotions, and discounts. Assists in the training of new employees or processes. Oversees the floor to ensure staff is on task at all times. Maintains proper cash-handling procedures at all times. Accurately distributes cash tips to tip-pooling employees. Accurately accounts for all cash and points out cash variances. Reports personnel issues to manager. Other duties as assigned

Including the capacity to support other departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and responsiveness to organizational needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Constantly:
Walking, standing, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, POS input, coordination of hand and eye.
Frequently:
Face contact with customers and staff
Occasionally:
Reaching above shoulder height, lifting 50 lbs., ability to do push/pull motions, with accommodations upon request. Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion
Occasionally:
Overnight shifts between the hours of 9pm-5am
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED Prior retail or customer service experience (1-3 years) Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, with advanced knowledge in Excel Must be 21+ years old and pass a criminal background check requirement
