Description A well established residential electrical and plumbing company in Marin County is hiring an Electrical Install Manager to run its electrical install department. You would lead a team of roughly 18 installers, splitting your week about evenly between running work in the field and managing from the office, and own the department's top line revenue, labor and material margins, and callback rate. The work is about 95 percent residential and 5 percent light commercial. The company is backed by a larger national home services group, so there is real training, equipment, and a track record of promoting from within behind you. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of roughly 18 electrical installers running daily residential install work Split your time about evenly between running work in the field and managing the department from the office Own department performance including top line revenue, labor and material margins, and callback rate Schedule and dispatch crews, and verify job specs, materials, and staging before work begins Coach leads and apprentices on quality, code compliance, and customer experience on every job Hold the team to install standards that pass inspection the first time and do not generate callbacks Partner with the office on permitting, inspections, and customer escalations Recruit, onboard, and retain installers as the department grows Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Five or more years in residential electrical, including time leading installers or running an install department Track record managing a crew of ten or more, including scheduling, coaching, and accountability Comfortable owning department numbers: revenue, labor and material margin, and callbacks Working knowledge of California residential electrical code, permitting, and the inspection process No individual license required, the company holds the C-10 Strong customer presence and the ability to resolve escalations in a customer's home Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Benefits Base salary of $80,000 to $120,000 depending on experience, plus a management bonus tied to department EBITDA and margins Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Company vehicle, gas card, and tools provided Ongoing paid training and advancement inside a larger national home services group About Hire Right Recruiting At Hire Right LLC , we partner with skilled trades and service businesses to build teams that last.
