Shop Manager — Diameter Plants (Sausalito, CA) Full-Time | Wednesday-Sunday | $24-30/hr, DOE Diameter Plants is looking for a Shop Manager to lead our Sausalito storefront. We're looking for someone with a working knowledge of common houseplant care: watering needs, light requirements, basic troubleshooting like yellowing leaves or pests. You don't need formal horticulture training, but you should be comfortable talking through plant care with customers. You'll keep the shop running smoothly day to day, while helping shape the experience that keeps customers and designers coming back. This role also occasionally supports our interior design and installation work, indoors and outdoors at client sites.

Schedule:

Wednesday-Sunday, full-time. What you'll do Oversee daily shop operations

• opening/closing, scheduling, inventory, merchandising Hire, train, and manage a small team of sales associates Maintain plant health and displays
• watering, pest checks, restocking Greet and assist customers, provide plant care advice Process new orders, manage vendor communication as needed Track sales performance and keep ownership informed on trends and needs Support occasional installation days
• indoor and outdoor plant setups at client sites, including lifting and physical work Keep the shop clean, styled, and inviting What we're looking for Working knowledge of common houseplant care, and interested in learning more Reliable and communicative Great with customers Organized and able to manage inventory and orders (plants and ceramics) Able to lift 40 lbs and do physical work on install days 1+ years in a plant-adjacent role (nursery, garden center, florist, landscaping), or strong personal plant-keeping experience you can speak to Available Wednesday-Sunday, full-time Nice to have (not required) A natural eye for design•comfortable helping designers or clients think through plant and vessel choices Prior retail or team management experience What we offer $24-30/hr depending on experience, with room to grow Paid time off and an employee discount A chance to grow with a small, plant-obsessed local business
