Accountable for the department's financial performance, including sales growth, gross margin, shrink reduction, labor management, and inventory control. Creates an outstanding shopping experience by maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays, ensuring product freshness and quality, and delivering a clean, organized, and inviting department that exceeds customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the quality, freshness, and appearance of produce products meet high standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and tools. Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to prevent contamination. Collaborate with the team to manage inventory and ensure adequate stock levels. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain knowledge of all department products. Follow established protocols for product preparation, and labeling, and merchandising. Maintain a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and using protective equipment. Adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks to meet production and customer needs. Continuously learn and improve skills and stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Help cross-merchandise products with other departments. Responsible for achieving required sales, margins, expenses, and labor targets. Supervise, train, and coach department team members

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Successful management experience working in a produce retail environment. 2+ years required managing a retail produce department. Has strong, demonstrated merchandising skills. Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude Ability to collaborate and lead as well as be self-directed Ability to manage multiple assignments at once Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping Ability to follow instructions and procedures. Effective time management skills, strong work ethic and integrity. Able to answer customer questions in a clear and service-oriented manner. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the department. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency Must have a valid Oregon Food Handler card
