Rock & Rose a retail nursery located in Truckee CA is hiring for an Front Deck Associate for the retail nursery department.

Job Description :

Our growing garden center / retail nursery is seeking a dedicated administrative assistant to handle retail customer service and general office support tasks. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and conscientious, who loves to interact with people, in person, on the phone, and through social media. Experience in both a retail and office environment is essential, as well as being highly organized, an excellent communicator the ability to multitask, and having a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

Answer phone system and direct calls to the appropriate department Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner Process and schedule deliveries Assist with nursery sales Assist with nursery operations Provide customers with basic product information Develop proficiency in POS software (will train) Maintain indoor retail and office space Assist in Marketing and Social Media Assist with other office duties as requested

Requirements:

Retail sales experience preferable Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner Good Computer skills and the ability to understand multiple software for accounting and point of sales Develop a solid knowledge and understanding of company products and procedures Strong typing and data entry skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to create organized filing systems and procedures Plant knowledge or interest is a plus
