In this pivotal role, you will support the store's daily operations, lead and develop staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Duties Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding service Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team performance Manage scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure smooth store functioning Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, stock replenishment, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Support recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and reporting purposes Monitor store compliance with safety procedures, cash handling policies, and operational standards Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising responsibilities Strong knowledge of retail math including sales calculations, inventory control, and budgeting Excellent communication skills in both managerial communication and phone etiquette; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and recruiting processes Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills Familiarity with retail industry sales team management practices including merchandising and stock management Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and operational excellence Knowledge of inventory management systems, purchasing procedures, pricing strategies, and operational management principles Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment and build customer relationships Join us as an Assistant Store Manager where your leadership will inspire teams to succeed while delivering exceptional shopping experiences.
