This role combines hands-on dispatch work with supervision of dispatch staff and coordination with transportation partners. What you'll do Direct daily dispatch workflow, assign tasks, and support the dispatch team. Receive transportation requests, dispatch the appropriate resources, and maintain communication with drivers and other responding teams. Review transportation system entries for accuracy and maintain related records. Coordinate shipment and carrier needs with operations teams. Coach staff, resolve issues, and provide shift coverage when needed. Review dispatch data, identify errors, and make corrections. What we're looking for 2-4 years of related dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience. Experience supervising staff, including coaching and conflict resolution. Familiarity with transportation management systems; experience with TruckMate, PC Miler, Fleetmatics, RoadNet, or similar tools is a plus. Working knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle capacities, and load requirements. Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, and Microsoft Office skills. High school diploma or GED. Relevant education and experience may be considered together. Bilingual skills are a plus. Schedule and work environment This position requires flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime. The role involves working in a distribution center with varying temperatures, sitting or standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, accessing warehouse areas, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
