Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and hands-on Store Manager to lead our fast-paced soup and salad restaurant. This is a great opportunity for a hospitality leader who enjoys developing a team, providing excellent guest service, and taking ownership of the daily operation of a restaurant. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the location, including team leadership, food quality and safety, guest satisfaction, labor management, inventory, cleanliness, and financial performance. Our ideal candidate leads by example and is comfortable working alongside the team during busy periods while also maintaining strong operational standards. Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and ensure smooth, efficient service. Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop team members and shift leaders. Create a positive, respectful, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Deliver friendly, fast, and consistent guest service. Ensure soups, salads, proteins, toppings, dressings, and other menu items are prepared and served according to company standards. Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, portioning, and freshness. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department, and workplace safety requirements. Monitor food temperatures, product rotation, labeling, storage, and proper handling procedures. Manage employee schedules and labor hours based on business needs. Monitor food costs, waste, portion control, and inventory levels. Complete inventory counts and place or coordinate product orders as needed. Receive deliveries and ensure products meet quality and quantity expectations. Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready restaurant, including dining areas, service lines, prep areas, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces. Handle guest questions, concerns, and service recovery professionally. Monitor daily sales and restaurant performance and take action to improve results. Ensure cash-handling, opening, closing, and other operational procedures are followed accurately. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and help cover operational needs when necessary. Communicate effectively with ownership or senior management regarding staffing, maintenance, inventory, guest concerns, and store performance. Identify opportunities to improve sales, efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team performance. Skills Previous restaurant management or food-service leadership experience preferred. Experience in fast-casual, quick-service, café, deli, salad, soup, or limited-service restaurant operations is a plus. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive workplace. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards. Comfortable managing labor, inventory, food costs, and waste. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Dependable, professional, and able to work with limited supervision. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and assisting the team during peak periods. Ability to communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and management. Basic computer and POS system skills. Food Manager/ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Physical & Scheduling Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and perform normal restaurant duties. Ability to lift and carry restaurant supplies and food products as required. Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A successful Store Manager maintains a restaurant that is clean, organized, properly staffed, food-safe, guest-focused, and financially responsible . You will build a reliable team, maintain consistent food and service standards, control labor and food costs, and create an environment where both guests and employees want to return.
