DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks a Team Captain Footwear & Apparel to lead high-energy retail teams and deliver an exceptional athlete experience. In this on-floor leadership role, you'll coach and schedule associates, drive sales and key metrics, and ensure best-in-class service across footwear and apparel. You'll maintain visual and brand standards, oversee inventory flow, and support omnichannel processes like BOPIS and digital fulfillment. Partnering closely with store leaders, you'll help execute game plans, events, and community initiatives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with strong growth opportunities. Responsibilities Lead daily operations for footwear and apparel departments to deliver outstanding customer service and sales results Coach, motivate, and schedule associates; provide on-floor training and performance feedback Drive omnichannel execution including BOPIS, ship-from-store, and digital orders within assigned areas Maintain visual merchandising and brand standards for footwear walls, apparel racks, and promotional displays Monitor inventory levels, assist with receiving, stocking, and product placement to maximize sell-through Resolve customer issues, model expert product knowledge, and support fittings and product recommendations Track key metrics such as sales, conversion, units per transaction, and shrink; support loss prevention standards Partner with store and department leaders on game plans, events, and community-focused initiatives Ensure execution of store policies, safety procedures, and compliance with company standards Support opening/closing routines and act as a go-to leader on the sales floor during assigned shifts Required Skills Retail operations People management Visual merchandising Customer service POS and retail systems Inventory management Omnichannel retail processes Sales analysis and KPIs Loss prevention awareness Footwear and apparel product knowledge
