This position will work closely with the Store Manager and owner and will be involved in all aspects of the business. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes initiative, is dependable, and wants an opportunity to grow as the company grows. Our business will be heavily focused on professional painting contractors, and we plan to differentiate ourselves through exceptional service, product knowledge, responsiveness, and going the extra mile for our customers. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Previous paint, coatings, hardware, building materials, construction supply, or contractor-facing experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has strong retail/customer-service experience and a desire to learn the industry. Learn Benjamin Moore products and recommend the appropriate products for different applications. Learn competitive paint products and help customers identify comparable Benjamin Moore solutions. Learn and operate paint tinting, mixing, shaking, and color-matching equipment. Process sales, quotes, returns, payments, and customer accounts through the POS system. Assist with inventory receiving, stocking, replenishment, organization, and cycle counts. Help maintain an organized showroom, tinting area, and warehouse. Assist with opening and closing the store. Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations. Take responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable. The Assistant Store Manager will be cross-trained in all areas of the operation and will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the store and customer base grow. We're looking for someone who doesn't believe a job is "not my responsibility." In a small business, everyone helps where needed. One minute you may be helping a contractor select a product, the next tinting an order, receiving inventory, making a delivery, or helping solve a customer problem.
