Job Description
Superior Paint & Supply, an independently owned Benjamin Moore retailer opening in Coral Springs, is looking for a hands-on, motivated Store Manager to help launch and operate our new location. This is not a desk-management position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with customers and contractors, learning the paint and coatings business, operating tinting and color-matching equipment, managing inventory, making deliveries when needed, and taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of the store. Our business will be heavily focused on professional painting contractors, and exceptional service will be one of the biggest things that separates us from larger competitors. The right person will enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and going the extra mile to earn repeat business. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Paint, coatings, hardware, building materials, or contractor-supply experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider an experienced retail manager with strong leadership and customer-service skills who is eager to learn the industry. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of the store, including opening and closing. Provide exceptional service to professional painting contractors, homeowners, and other customers. Build relationships with contractors and help develop repeat customer accounts. Learn Benjamin Moore products and confidently recommend products based on customer needs and competitive products they currently use. Learn and operate paint tinting, mixing, shaking, and color-matching equipment. Process sales, quotes, returns, payments, and customer accounts through the POS system. Manage inventory, receiving, stocking, merchandising, pricing, and replenishment. Help maintain accurate inventory levels while minimizing unnecessary or slow-moving stock. Assist with local deliveries and customer orders when necessary. Handle customer questions and resolve issues quickly and professionally. Train and supervise store employees as the team grows. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional showroom and warehouse. Work closely with ownership on sales opportunities, contractor relationships, inventory needs, and store performance. Take ownership of the store when the owner is away or working outside the store. Qualifications Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Previous retail management, assistant management, or strong supervisory experience. Paint/coatings, hardware, building materials, construction supply, or contractor-facing experience strongly preferred. Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills. Comfortable working with professional contractors and in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Willing and able to learn paint products, competitive product crossovers, tinting, and color matching. Comfortable using POS, inventory, and other business software. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently without constant supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative. Ability to safely lift and move paint products, including 5-gallon containers. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be willing to work Saturdays and flexible retail hours as needed. What We're Looking For We're building Superior Paint & Supply around service, relationships, and reliability . We're looking for someone who wants to help build a new business rather than simply fill a management position. The right person will be willing to jump in wherever needed—from helping a contractor select the right product, to tinting an order, unloading inventory, making a delivery, or solving a customer problem. There is an opportunity to grow with the company as the store and customer base expand.
