An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

About the Role We are seeking a proactive Assistant Sales Manager to help lead and elevate our sales and interior design team. Working closely with the Sales Manager, you will coach sales associates, drive revenue goals, oversee daily showroom operations, and ensure every client receives an exceptional experience.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Coaching:
Supervise daily activities of the sales and design team, providing ongoing motivation, goal setting, and product knowledge training.
Performance Analysis:
Review sales metrics to identify areas for team improvement and implement targeted sales strategies.
Customer Excellence:
Manage customer escalations professionally, build long-term client relationships, and promote brand loyalty.
Order Auditing:
Review and audit sales orders for accuracy prior to processing to minimize delivery and inventory errors.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales, furniture retail, or interior design management preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of mentoring team members.
Tech Proficiency:
Familiarity with CRM software, retail POS systems, and basic sales reporting.
Client Focus:
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong ability to build rapport with clients.
Schedule & Store Hours Work Schedule:
5 days per week. Full weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday), with set days off on Thursday and Friday .
