BFF Puppies is looking for a motivated, hands-on Store & Operations Manager to lead our established Orange Park location while also helping support and grow our new BFF Wag Central location in Jacksonville. We want a strong leader who can develop a team, drive sales, create an exceptional customer experience, organize promotions and community events, and take ownership of day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being involved, solving problems, developing people, and finding new ways to grow the business. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of BFF Puppies Assist with the operations and continued growth of BFF Wag Central Lead, schedule, train, coach, and hold team members accountable Help recruit, onboard, and develop new employees Drive puppy sales and help the sales team consistently achieve store goals Support the growth of daycare, boarding, training, and retail services at BFF Wag Central Maintain high standards for puppy care, cleanliness, organization, and customer service Ensure paperwork, puppy records, customer follow-ups, and required procedures are completed accurately and on time Handle customer questions and escalated concerns professionally and confidently Monitor staffing, payroll hours, inventory, supplies, and operational needs Help develop and implement procedures that improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability Assist with merchandising and maintaining an attractive, welcoming store environment Develop and execute creative store promotions that increase traffic, sales, and customer engagement Plan, promote, and host in-store and community events Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners Identify opportunities for partnerships, cross-promotions, sponsorships, and local events Represent BFF Puppies and BFF Wag Central at community events Help promote events, specials, and services through social media and other local marketing efforts Take ownership of events from the initial idea through planning, promotion, setup, execution, and follow-up Regularly communicate sales performance, staffing concerns, customer issues, and opportunities to ownership Step in wherever needed to keep both businesses operating successfully What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: A strong leader who knows how to motivate and manage a team Sales-minded and motivated by results Outgoing and comfortable representing our businesses in the community Creative and able to develop promotions and events that bring customers through the door Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently Strong in customer service and able to handle difficult conversations professionally Dependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working around puppies and within a pet-focused business Flexible with scheduling based on the needs of the business Previous retail management, sales management, multi-location management, pet industry, kennel, daycare/boarding, hospitality, or other customer-focused management experience is preferred. Compensation $45,000-$60,000 based on experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities. Schedule This is a full-time salaried management position 40-50 hours per week. Flexibility is required based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, promotions, and community events. About Us BFF Puppies is an established, locally owned puppy retailer.
