PM Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations and performance of our Goodwill retail store in Perry, FL. The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for managing store operations, leading staff, driving sales growth, ensuring excellent customer and donor service, maintaining safety standards, and achieving production and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and the ability to motivate a team while maintaining efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage overall store operations including staffing, customer service, production, sales, safety, and facility maintenance. Assist in developing and achieving retail division goals aligned with company objectives. Monitor store sales, payroll, production, and operational budgets to meet performance targets. Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance when goals are not met. Recruit, interview, hire, train, and schedule store employees. Set performance expectations and provide coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions when needed. Promote excellent customer and donor service while handling concerns professionally. Manage daily cash operations including register balancing, banking, deposits, and financial reporting. Ensure store expenses remain within budget guidelines. Maintain compliance with safety policies, material handling procedures, and operational standards. Implement loss prevention and security procedures to protect store assets, donations, and merchandise. Oversee product quality, inventory rotation, and sales floor presentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive store environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Support employees in understanding and following company procedures. Travel to nearby Goodwill locations within a four-county area as needed for operational support. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Promote teamwork and a positive workplace culture. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse customers, donors, and employees. Knowledge of retail operations, sales, and customer relationship management.
Experience using:
POS/cash register systems Security camera systems Microsoft Word and Excel Email and social media platforms Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proof of current auto insurance required.
Education & Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience.
Preferred:
Associate degree in Business, Retail Management, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
