40 hours per week, with 50-55 hours available during peak season About the Position Casualine is looking for a dependable and organized Shipping Department Lead to oversee the daily operations of our shipping department. This position is responsible for keeping the shipping department running efficiently, coordinating daily priorities, leading the shipping team, and making sure orders are accurately prepared and shipped on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can work alongside the team, stay organized in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and take ownership of the department's daily operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the shipping team. Organize daily shipping priorities and ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time. Assign tasks and responsibilities to shipping department employees. Monitor loading and unloading of trucks and incoming shipments. Verify orders and products before they are shipped. Ensure shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and secured. Receive incoming materials and products and ensure they are properly organized. Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse and shipping area. Communicate with other departments regarding order status, priorities, and shipping needs. Identify and resolve shipping or receiving issues as they arise. Help train new employees and provide direction to the shipping team. Monitor employee performance and help maintain department productivity. Follow company safety procedures and ensure the team works safely. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and organizing furniture and materials as needed. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records. Help improve processes and efficiency within the shipping and warehouse departments. Perform other duties as needed to support daily operations. What We're Looking For Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and keep the department moving efficiently. Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment. Ability to regularly lift and move items weighing at least 50 pounds. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Experience working with outdoor furniture or in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required. Schedule & Hours Full-time position 40 hours per week $16.00 per hour Overtime available during peak season Peak-season hours may increase to approximately 50-55 hours per week Must be willing to work additional hours when business needs require Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds . Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting, moving, loading, and unloading furniture and warehouse materials.
