Southern Haulers Shop Manager Southern Haulers is seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Shop Manager to oversee the daily administrative operations of our yard. This position plays a key role in supporting our mechanics, drivers, and management team by ensuring the shop stays organized, well-stocked, and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the maintenance shop.
• Create, update, and maintain work orders, maintenance records, and repair documentation.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized electronic and paper files.
• Order, receive, and track shop parts, tools, and supplies.
• Assist drivers with maintenance documentation, repair requests, and equipment records.
• Track scheduled preventative maintenance and help ensure fleet compliance.
• Maintain DOT-related maintenance records and other required documentation.
• Handle incoming mail, deliveries, and vendor correspondence.
• Help coordinate the daily workflow of the shop to keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office and shop environment.
• Provide administrative support for other fleet and maintenance projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, diesel repair, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience ordering parts and working with vendors is preferred.
• Knowledge of semi-trucks, trailers, or diesel maintenance is a plus but not required.
