Job Description

JSB Subways LLC Store Manager Employment Type:
Full-Time, Hourly Compensation:
Competitive Hourly Pay +
Performance-Based Profit Sharing Total Earning Opportunity:
Approximately $50,000-$65,000+ annually , depending on hours worked, store profitability, and profit-sharing results. This Is More Than a Restaurant Manager Job At JSB Subways LLC , we want our Store Managers to learn how to run a business—not simply run a shift. As Store Manager, you will take ownership of one Subway restaurant. You'll lead the people, build the schedule, recruit and develop talent, grow sales, control costs, maintain standards, and understand the financial results of your restaurant. Most importantly, when you help create profitable results, you have the opportunity to share in them. How You're Paid This is an hourly management position , so you are paid for the hours you work. Your starting hourly rate will be based on your experience, work history, leadership ability, availability, and demonstrated ability to manage a restaurant. On top of your hourly earnings, Store Managers are eligible for our performance-based profit-sharing program. Our goal is for successful Store Managers to have a realistic path toward approximately $50,000-$65,000+ in total annual earnings , depending on hours worked and the performance and profitability of their restaurant. Profit sharing and total earning opportunities are performance-based and are not guaranteed. What You'll Own You will be responsible for the overall performance of your restaurant, including: Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and retaining a strong team Building schedules and controlling labor Developing Sandwich Artists into Senior Sandwich Artists and future managers Maintaining an active recruiting pipeline so you're building talent before you need it Growing sales and customer traffic Delivering an excellent customer experience Managing food cost, waste, inventory, and product usage Understanding your restaurant's P&L and financial performance Driving profitability and EBITDA Maintaining excellent food-safety, cleanliness, and Subway operational standards Managing cash, deposits, inventory, and company assets Ensuring opening, closing, prep, and daily operating procedures are completed correctly Coaching employees and addressing performance issues Creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and development Communicating consistently with your Area Supervisor Identifying problems early and taking ownership of solving them We Want You to Think Like an Owner We don't measure a Store Manager simply by whether the restaurant opened on time and the schedule got made.
We want you asking:
Are my sales growing? Is my traffic growing? Is my team getting stronger? Are my food and labor costs under control? Are we taking care of our customers? Am I developing my next leader? Is my restaurant profitable? Those are the questions a business operator asks—and that's what we want to teach our Store Managers to become. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant or management experience is valuable, but we're equally interested in people who have demonstrated that they can lead, learn, and produce results. We are looking for someone who is dependable and accountable, communicates well, can recruit and develop people, is comfortable holding others accountable, understands the importance of controlling costs, is willing to learn restaurant financials, takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do, and wants their compensation and career to grow as their responsibilities and results grow. You must also be willing to work alongside your team when the restaurant needs you. Leadership here doesn't mean standing on the sidelines—it means doing whatever is necessary to help your team succeed while building a restaurant that doesn't require you to solve every problem personally. Develop Your Team We have a defined career ladder: Sandwich Artist → Senior Sandwich Artist → Store Manager → Managing Operator → Area Supervisor Each restaurant can have no more than two Senior Sandwich Artists . These positions are intended to be development positions for high-performing employees who are preparing for greater responsibility. As Store Manager, part of your job is to identify those people, develop them, and help them move up and out into larger opportunities as our organization grows. Your Opportunity to Grow Store Manager does not have to be the final destination. Store Managers who consistently build strong teams, develop leaders, maintain operational standards, and produce profitable results can earn the opportunity to advance to Managing Operator and eventually Area Supervisor .
Our philosophy is simple:
Experience can affect where you start. Performance determines where you go. Why JSB Subways? We're building a growing organization, and we need people who want to grow with us. If you want an hourly management position where you can learn how to run a business, develop people, participate in the profits you help create, and build a career based on your performance , we want to hear from you. JSB Subways LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
