Duties Lead and motivate the store team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective management and coaching. Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and customer service protocols. Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control strategies. Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce. Implement employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge. Supervise scheduling, shift management, payroll processing, and ensure compliance with company policies. Monitor store financials by managing budgets, performing bookkeeping tasks, and analyzing retail math metrics. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Coordinate marketing efforts within the store to promote sales events and new product launches. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, store policies, and regulatory requirements at all times. Skills Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities preferred to serve diverse customer bases. Skilled in negotiation, sales management, pricing strategies, and retail math for effective store performance. Proficient in inventory management systems, POS technology, cashiering procedures, and stock merchandising. Demonstrated expertise in supervising staff through interviewing, training & development, and performance evaluations. Adept at managing budgets, payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative responsibilities. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of grocery or retail store operations including inventory control and purchasing processes. Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
