Overview:
As an Assistant Retail Experience Manager at Fleet Feet, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping store culture, supporting daily operations, and delivering a consistent, world-class retail experience. You'll work closely with the Operating Partner to help lead the team, energize the sales floor, and support the growth and development of our Outfitters (Retail Sales Associates). This hands-on role focuses on creating an exceptional customer journey while empowering team performance through coaching, scheduling, and daily direction. What You'll Do:
Support the recruiting, onboarding, and development of Outfitters to ensure excellence in service and sales Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering the Fleet Feet Outfitting Experience with energy and care Act as a shift leader, directing floor operations and assisting with real-time coaching Foster a high-performance team culture by recognizing achievements and encouraging accountability Provide clear communication across the team to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and customer needs Assist with scheduling, operational support, and the execution of store events and initiatives Help resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, prioritizing satisfaction Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment
What We're Looking For:
At least 1 year of retail leadership experience in a customer-facing environment Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Demonstrated ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience Leadership skills in coaching, team motivation, delegation, and conflict resolution Proven experience with retail operations such as scheduling, inventory, and floor management Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Passionate about team development, recognition, and growth Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and aligned with Fleet Feet's mission and values
