A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

Job Description
Overview The Retail Management Intern is designed for students pursuing degrees in business, retail management, marketing, or related fields. This program will offer students paid, hands-on experience in retail operations, equipping them with essential skills and insights for future careers in the industry. Duties and Responsibilities Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values Learn effective sales techniques, understand product knowledge, and assist customers Stocking, visual merchandising, and analyzing sales data Handle transactions, process returns, and engage with customers at final point-of-sale Assist with daily store opening and closing procedures Assist with local store events and promotional campaigns Qualifications and Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in business, retail management, marketing, or related field Excellent oral and written communication skills A great attitude and willingness to learn and ask questions High integrity with the ability to represent Cavender's in a highly respectful and positive manner High degree of confidentiality Ability to interpret documents Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond Ability to comprehend complex issues and communicate Preferred Skills Possesses excellent problem solving, critical thinking, presentation and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Action oriented with ability to prioritize and drive results. Ability to work individually on a project or within a team environment.
