ABOUT WALKER BOUTIQUE
Walker Boutique is part of Walker Pharmacy & Gifts, a family-owned business serving Statesboro since 1984. We carry women's apparel, children's clothing, gifts, jewelry, accessories, and home accents at our Market District store and online. We are looking for someone to run our sales floor.
THE ROLE
The Boutique Manager leads our sales associates, sets the standard for how customers are treated, and owns our wedding and baby registry program. This is a floor-forward leadership job. You will spend most of your day out among customers and staff, not behind a desk. Your team will take its cues from what you model.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Leading the Team Build the associate schedule within payroll budget, set each semester Handle time-off requests, time adjustments, and payroll approval each pay period Hire, evaluate, and coach sales associates Own onboarding and training so every associate performs to standard Address attendance and performance issues early and document them Mentor your people — associates who are developed stay longer and serve better Running the Floor Maintain consistent presence on the sales floor, roughly 70-80% of your time Oversee daily floor and sales operations at Market District Greet every customer promptly; answer the phone quickly and professionally Use Shopify POS accurately for register transactions Maintain product knowledge across all categories Execute merchandising direction and guide associates in bringing it to life Prioritize new merchandise onto the floor Safeguard store assets and follow policy on theft Wedding and Baby Registry Own registry procedures, inventory, and communications Build and maintain registries in Gift Reggie with accurate in-stock product and pricing Track registry purchases and flag replenishment needs Work with registrants, families, and gift-givers on options, status, and special requests Coordinate showers, drop-offs, gift wrap, and in-store pickups Keep the bridal room welcoming and well-merchandised
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Prior retail experience; team leadership or supervisory exposure preferred A strong, intuitive eye for merchandising and floor presentation Comfort with scheduling and basic payroll administration Proficiency in — or willingness to quickly learn — Shopify POS, Gift Reggie, and ADP Excellent communication, follow-through, and customer-facing presence Confidence working with registrants and families in a consultative role Self-starter with a teachable attitude who handles a fast-paced environment Honest, reliable team player who respects peers and the Walker name
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch. One to two Saturdays per month, with the following Monday off. Additional hours during peak season, September through December, and during events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Carrying merchandise up and down stairs, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders to move merchandise.
