Assistant Manager Position Summary The Assistant Manager works alongside the Store Manager to lead the daily operations of Dairy Road 76. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for helping manage the team, maintaining operational excellence, ensuring outstanding customer service, and supporting the overall success of the store. Ensure every customer is greeted promptly and professionally. Assist with supervising and motivating the store team. Perform cashier duties when needed. Maintain accurate cash handling and audit cashier drawers. Assist with employee scheduling and daily shift management. Receive, stock, price, and merchandise inventory. Assist with ordering merchandise and food products. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked store. Ensure compliance with all alcohol, tobacco, food safety, and company policies. Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability. Communicate clearly with the Store Manager and leadership team. Help train, coach, and develop employees. Complete additional duties as assigned. Work Environment Indoor retail environment with occasional outdoor responsibilities. Fast-paced, customer-focused atmosphere. Frequent interaction with customers, employees, and vendors. Equipment Used Cash register Time-delay safe Soda fountain equipment and CO₂ tanks Bag-in-Box (BIB) beverage systems Calculator Car wash equipment (occasional reset when needed) Schedule Approximately 50 hours per week Five 10-hour shifts Flexible availability required Must be available for day, evening, weekend, holiday, and occasional overnight coverage as business needs require. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Bend, reach, kneel, squat, climb, and stock merchandise throughout the shift. Perform repetitive cashier and stocking duties. Qualifications Preferred Skills Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Valid Hawaii Driver's License and reliable transportation Education High School Diploma or GED preferred Required Training Must obtain and maintain a valid Hawaii Liquor Card.
